- Me: yay!!! no school on Monday again!
- Katie: ...That's not fair...
- Me: Life isn't fair. That's why all our fingers are different lengths. I'm happy cause Meghna and I will have all day to finish our history project.
- Katie: That is very true unfortunately... I just don't see why the entire state is out and why we're one out of five schools that are still in when the roads are awful... Oh well, I guess that just means we get out of school earlier for summer than you guys =)
- Me: Which just gives me all the more reason to drag you to my school and have you be an all day visitor! lol. There's a plus side to everything. Btw, do you know where I can find that tame polar bear we're talking about?
- Katie: EXACTLY! Hmmm... Well, you have the day off tomorrow! I'm sure you can sneak out to the zoo and get one!
- Me: The zoo has polar bears? Since when? Or is it my memory going bad on me again? Okay, don't forget. When you see a person riding on a polar bear through your school gates, that's your cue to run out of class
- Katie: ...I thought they did. Maybe I'm thinking of another zoo... If you can't find any there, get a rhino or maybe an elephant! Or you could just go to Antartica and get a polar bear there! It might be a hassle getting it back up here in time though... And I'm not going to be able to see you! Just leave the polar bear/rhino/elephant outside and come in and get me!
- Me: Okay, my backup plan is to get an elephant, just cause you're a republican. Do I leave the elephant in the parking lot? Or is there special elephant parking? Btw, my brother says he'll be the one next to me, riding a penguin drawn sled.
- Katie: Woah there! I'm no Republican... That party was corrupted long ago, and I bear no alligence to it in any way, shape, or form. Nor am I a Democrat, which is ... I'm not even going to go there lol. OMG! PENGUINS! WE NEED AN ARMY OF PENGUINS!!!
- Me: Oops. Sorry bout that. lol. I've decided to change the polar bear/elephant to a lion. MUA HAHAH! I'll be riding Aslan to your school. :D My brother already claimed rights to be general of the penguin army.
- Katie: Haha it's cool. I'd describe myself as mainly conservative with a few very liberal ideals thrown in there. COME ON! PENGUINS! I WANT A CUTE, CUDDLY PENGUIN... ='( Can your brother lend me one? And Aslan...? Why does that ring a bell...
- Me: You can't remember Narnia?! Maybe you really are the more senior citizen-ish of the two of us. My brother says he'll lend you the old grumpy one with a beard.
- Katie: OMG! THE TALKING LION! I remember now... Penguins don't have beards... Do they?
- Me: This one does.
- Katie: Special penguin there.

And speaking of my car, did I tell you I got it stuck in a snow pile in front of the entrance to the school and blocked the entrance? So basically everyone saw me and had to find some other way into the school! Not exactly the best way to start the semester…
